Wow, what a job!
My clients have restored a beautiful old ruin in the charming and ancient Roman village of Old Perithea located in the north east of the island, up in the mountains. My brief was to make the curtains and blinds for the large sitting/dining room and also the curtains for the master bedroom.
We had to choose the soft furnishings very carefully so as not to over-dress the windows and loose the authentic Greek atmosphere in the house.
My clients chose gunmetal Cameron Fuller curtain poles with plain ball finials for the large upstairs room. These will be teamed with a Colefax and Fowler to reflect the sage green foliage of the surrounding outside vegetation. It works perfectly.
They wanted a simple, yet luxurious feel in the bedroom. They chose a Byron and Byron pole in Calico with finials and a simple cream Colefax & Fowler fabric. Again, they chose well and the combination works perfectly for them.

GENEVA
I have been commissioned to do a lovely, lovely job in Genthod.
My client has had a new kitchen installed and this room leads into the sitting room which in turn has two pairs of french doors opening into her garden as well as a window to the side of the room.
The kitchen has two windows. One very wide window measuring 2.4m in width with a drop of only 106cm. The other window is less difficult to dress and is 1.45m in width with a 1.7m drop.
After a lot of discussion, she decided that she wanted two roman blinds in the kitchen windows. She chose a simple but very elegant striped Ian Mankin fabric called Hopsack Stripe in Blue Bell. It is very subtle and understated, but at the same time sophisticated and striking.
The sitting room french doors are 1.8m in width each and both have a drop of 2.4m. The window to the side is the same as one of the kitchen windows, 1.45m width with a 1.7m drop. For this room, my client chose a very beautiful Colefax and Fowler fabric called Hayward Old Blue and it is absolutely stunning.
